How to find an opponent and how a one-on-one fight goes

Take turns on a shared board: every chain is a hit, and longer chains hit harder. Last mage standing wins.
Common room
The common room holds fight requests of every format: one-on-one and team. Accept any that admits your hero's level — or post your own. Requests come and go all the time; every 15 minutes the whole room changes.
What a request shows
Who posted it and their level, the levels it admits, the format and the mode, open seats and a reward hint. A rival's skills and life are never shown.
The level colour: plain — the same as yours; orange — 1–2 above; red — 3 or more above; grey — below.

Your request
In your own request you set the fighter levels — no further than 6 levels from yours and no higher than the top hero in the room — and the format. Until you choose, it is from your level to yours + 2. Your last choice is remembered.
The draw
Nobody picks an opponent. A one-on-one request gathers applicants for 3–12 seconds and draws lots. In a team fight the game deals the sides even in levels — except a hero’s first team fight: there the hero stands beside a senior.
The blow
Every chain is a blow. A long one hits harder: each potion beyond the shortest chain adds 12.5%, but a blow never grows beyond ×2.
| Potions in a chain | The blow |
|---|---|
| 3 | ×1 |
| 4 | ×1.125 |
| 5 | ×1.25 |
| 6 | ×1.375 |
| 7 | ×1.5 |
| 8 | ×1.625 |
| 9 | ×1.75 |
| 10 | ×1.875 |
| 11 | ×2 |
- A bomb or a rune in the chain makes the blow even stronger.
- In the arena a spell hits ×3 of a plain blow and cannot be dodged.
- A racial gift is a move, too.
The result
| Result | XP | |
|---|---|---|
| Win | all the XP you earned | ×1 |
| Draw | three quarters | ×0.75 |
| Loss | half; leaving the fight counts too | ×0.5 |
Rookie's club
A gift from Blub after your first arena defeat and after 3 defeats in a row — once a day at most. In your next 3 fights the hero's plain blow is 25% stronger.
In this version every rival and teammate in the arena is a hero run by the game.
